Thanks to Steven Jaspen for putting the facts right on this pair of lovely robots. They clearly owe much to Sankei robots like Flashy Jim. The logo identified under the backpacks is, however, that of Kanto. The other logical connection is with the rare Robot 5.
 

Version 1 - no "Television" wording on the chest. It has a simple sparking action.
Version 2 - has TELEVISION on chest plate and shows a space scene on the gel.

This brightly lithoed robot has been charmingly called the "racoon" version for obvious reasons.
