Mego Man Robot is by any standard an oddity. This rectangular bodied novelty has token legs attached to two large wheels. The wildly laughing face is crowned with a neat big hat. The obvious influence is Mr Machine. This is clearly a tin rip-off produced by S.Y. for the emerging Mego toy company.

Also worth mentioning is "Travelling Sam, the Peace Corps Man" (a borderline robot) in stars and stripes livery.

Not to be confused with the battery op Mego Man, a much larger and rarer robot. Very few of these exist.
